Alain Ellouz
Alain Ellouz is a self-taught entrepreneur and sculptor driven by passion. In 1985, he founded an IT company that quickly rose to become one of France's top 100 IT services companies, before being sold to an international group in 2000. He then turned his attention to a new ambitious project: the renovation of the Domaine du Montcel in Jouy-en-Josas, the former headquarters of the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art, which he transformed into a venue dedicated to events and artistic creation.
Alabaster entered his life in 1995, when he discovered the art of sculpture. Fascinated by the nobility and unique light of this stone, in 2005 he made it the focus of a new adventure: the creation of the Atelier Alain Ellouz. A visionary creator in perpetual motion, Alain Ellouz combines artistic sensitivity with entrepreneurial rigor. A practitioner of meditation, he likes to “leave the window of his mind wide open,” while keeping his feet firmly on the ground. An inveterate optimist, he transforms every challenge into an opportunity, relentlessly exploring new avenues to push the boundaries of what is possible.
