French designer and ceramist, Alan Louis imagines a bold universe around objects and furniture of character. Attracted by duality, he associates minimalist forms with the extravagance of spades, which aim to reflect our inner conflicts, often difficult to manage: "People need to listen more to the spades they have inside them."

Like the living sculptures he shapes, the contours and curves of Alan Louis' objects evoke stories. It is through artisanal work of assembly, modeling, sculpture and different cooking that his objects are revealed. From furniture such as benches, tables, pedestal tables or even consoles... to design objects like lighting fixtures, vases and candlesticks. Sandstone groats rubs with wood in the new collection of Alan Louis. Each piece is entirely handmade by the artist, signed and numbered, in his workshops located in Portugal, in the Ribatejo.
