Founded in 2016 by Laura Demichelis, Atelier Demichelis designs and manufactures bronze and brass furniture and lighting fixtures, entirely handmade, as unique pieces or in very small series. Trained at the École Boulle in Paris, Laura specializes in working with bronze and developed a sensitive approach to the material early on, where volume, surface, and light interact.

After several years spent in the workshops of designer Van Der Straeten, followed by a long trip to Asia to learn about traditional art casting techniques, she enriched her practice with multiple influences and ancestral techniques. She then moved to Berlin, where her collaboration with designer Stefan Leo broadened her field of exploration to other materials and refined her formal language. Today, from her studio in the heart of Toulouse, Laura Demichelis creates signed and numbered pieces, often crafted in enameled bronze, where each object tells a story, inspired by travel, nature, and attention to detail.
