Thomas Coup la Fronde
Born in Lyon in 1996, Thomas Coup La Fronde developed a fascination for materials and the forms that enhance them at a very early age. His background in product design and cabinetmaking opened the door to a world where craftsmanship meets creative excellence.
From his travels in Japan, Scandinavia, and across Europe, he drew inspiration from the purity of lines, the nobility of wood, and the strength of traditions. His pieces, which fall somewhere between sculpture and furniture, convey a language that is both minimalist and organic, inspired by masters such as Nakashima and Perriand, but always imbued with his own sensibility.
In his Lyon workshop, he crafts works that combine sobriety and power, softness and structure. Each creation is conceived as an intimate dialogue with the material, where solid wood, often reused, becomes the foundation of a sustainable and timeless design. In 2025, his commitment was recognized by the Engagé à Lyon label.
