Thalia Dalecky
A visual artist based in Paris, Thalia Dalecky has developed a practice centered on the figure, initially through the female body, then around profile faces and hands, recurring motifs in her work. These forms, sometimes stretched to the point of abstraction, convey a direct and sensitive relationship with the material, where gesture plays an essential role.
Mainly dedicated to ceramics, her work gives rise to sculptures that sometimes extend into objects: lamps, tables, mirrors, or seats. At the same time, she explores painting and drawing, more free-form mediums that feed an instinctive and unconstrained imagination, always guided by the link between form, material, and sensation.
