Calyx takes its name from the floral calyx, the protective form that envelops the flower before it opens. Cardones transposed this idea into wood: light, precise arcs that surround and support without ever weighing down. The oak or ash, from French eco-managed forests, is linseed-oiled to reveal the grain. The seat upholstered in Italian velvet or bouclé brings the expected comfort.
